*May 3, 2003 to April 19, 2011* *"Tori"* *CH Triggerhill's Notorious Doubletake, RN, SC, CGC, HIC* Sire: "Bantu" - CH Triggerhill's Raj Posh, ROM Dam: "Kate" - CH Orangewood Doubletake At Triggerhill, AX, AXJ, RN OFA - Hips - Good; Elbows - Normal; Thyroid - Normal; DM - Normal We lost a part of us when Tori passed due to lymphoma cancer on Tuesday, April 19th. We have many good memories, but nothing can take her place - she was a very special dog. Her memory will live on with her puppies and in our hearts. Tori did it all - from being a "beauty queen" to herding, agility, lure coursing, rally, playing on the beach, being a special companion to us, raising two "families" (10 w/Travis and 8 w/Rowan), and so much more . . . Thank you to Dr. Reiss and staff at Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center (SOVSC), Medford, Oregon for all the special care and treatments they gave Tori during this past year. The treatments gave Tori almost a year of quality life after diagnosis. This past September she was at the RRCUS National winning 2nd in Rally and running and playing on the beach. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A note from Tori's 17 month old son Rimsky - who lives in Portland with the Johnston Family: Oh John & Judy! I can't believe my mama is gone! My family always tells me that when they first saw pictures of my mom they knew they wanted to bring home one of her puppies. They say I looked the most like her from the litter because I had her dark muzzle. They tell me she was an extraordinary dog because she was beautiful & talented but mostly because she was so loyal to you. She was such a good mama to me & all my brothers & sisters. She always told us pups how blessed she was to be a part of your family. She really loved you. Thank-you for taking such good care of my mama till the end. I am so glad you were there with her because I know that would make her peaceful & content. If I were there I would lick you so you would know I feel your pain. I promise to carry on her legacy by being the best Rhodesian Ridgeback I can be and by being a wonderful companion to my new family here. Please give Darcey & Hondo & Hunter a big comforting snuggle for me. 2005 - 2008 Ad in the Ridgeback Register after this big Best of Breed win. Judge: Jacque Hungerland; handler - Jeni Scattini Del Valle Kennel Club, Carmel, CA -- Winning BOS just 16 weeks after her first litter of pups. Judge: Pluis Davern - Handler: Jeni Scattini-Nowell All worn out after winning the BOS at Del Valle, in Carmel, CA Supported Entry - Major show. She didn't like it at all when Buck (the Lab) would go for a swim and get back in the boat and shake water all over her! Tori does love to play on the dog beach in Santa Barbara. 2003-2004 Tori with her siblings June 2003. "You've come a long way baby!" Our pony, Pistol Pete, checking out Tori - they're the same age. Tori was born May 3, Pete was born May 5. November 2003 Tori at her very first AKC show when she was 6 months old. She was WB, BW and BOS over Specials for Major points. Judge: Jim White Breeder/Co-Owner/Handler: Betty Scattini February 2004 Betty Scattini with "Mom Kate" in front of Tori and Jeni. Photo taken after Tori won her 2nd Major (& BOS over Specials) at 9 months of age. May 2004 Tori at 12 months winning Sweepstakes Best of Opposite at the SDRCC Specialty under judge Liz Demery. At this same show - Kate winning Best Brood Bitch with Tori and Tiki. September 2004 Tori being introduced to a sheep while at the 2004 Nationals in Texas. We don't have any photos but Tori acquired her Junior Courser (JC) title at this Nationals. October 2004 Tori at 17 Months winning Best in Sweepstakes at the Bay Area Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Specialty. Judge: Theresa Lyons Breeder/Co-owner/Handler: Betty Scattini Same win, but with more people. Tori was also awarded the "Stanley Cup" in memory of a very nice Ridgeback owned by David Bueno, Greg Castillo and Mary Sorosky. Tori was the first recipient of the Stanley Cup.
