We like to travel with the Ridgebacks to various parts of the country.  We've visited friends and attended dog shows in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Oregon and up and down  California.  Thought this might be a good page to put photos of the various parks and friends homes/dogs, etc.  We don't have any digital photos of some of the places we've visited, but to start with we'll just show you Oregon.
A separate section will show you photographs of our trip (without the dogs) to  the Post Ranch Inn at Big Sur, CA January 30 through February 2, 2007.

A beautiful sunset from our little house

and complimentary stocked refrigerator.

Another view of our room showing
the comfortable window seat.
What a place to relax, read a book and
look out to view the ocean and deer.

Patio outside our room overlooking the ocean.

while you're sitting on the patio.

The Lap Pool in a separate area
surrounded by trees and meadows.

Deck chairs by the lap pool.

This is the newest infinity pool and
it was located very close to our little house.
This stainless steel pool was always heated
and very relaxing after our walks on the trails
through the Redwood trees and meadows.

Flowers, trees, and ocean views!
What a nice setting.  Very Relaxing!

These are the Tree Houses that are available
for you to stay in.  Some of these units
have views of the ocean and mountains.

The three Coast Houses overlooking the ocean.
We stayed in the house on the very left ,
the north coast house

On our drive up Highway 1 between
Ragged Point and Big Sur ,
we came across these two Condors
(with numbers and transmitters)
that seem to be visiting with anyone that stopped.

They didn't seem to be afraid of anyone.
It was such a treat to see these very special birds.
They seem to like hanging out with everyone.

This looks like a cute photo, but  these two photos
also show what could happen to wildlife
when you leave trash along the roadside.

See how he/she got his head in the thong?
Yes, it came out easy this time and he/she
walked away.  Then someone came over to
take it  & a plastic bottle away so the Condors
couldn't "play" with them again.
Oregon

July 2006 at an RV Resort in Bend, Oregon
"ON THE ROAD AGAIN"  -  this time to visit friends and see the sights in Oregon - didn't attend a single dog show - probably a first for us!
We stayed 4 nights at a wonderful RV park in Bend.  Clean, spacious, grass and pine trees.  Very quiet too.  These photos of the dogs on the grass were all taken in Bend.  None of the other RV parks were as nice as this one.

at the RV Resort.

July 2006, after visiting Bend, we went west to Hwy. 5 through Sisters, Oregon
over to Sunny Valley (north of Grants Pass) to visit Ridgeback friends, Jimmy & Lee Nudo
and their pack.

Front porch of the Nudo home.

Deck off the back of their home.
They have 5 fenced acres for the dogs to run and play.

Nice gate driveway and all that PVC fencing .

This is were the dogs like to run
when they're not hanging around you.

Of course, Tori prefers to jump up on tables
to view the countryside!

And the other dogs wanted to join her!

The Nudo's dog Kenya has Hunter on the ground.

Kenya has the upper hand here while playing
with Hunter.
Kenya is Lee & Jimmy's older bitch.
She really took to playing with Hunter
